Annual Sports 2020 was held on 8th February, 2020 at Rabindra Sarobar Stadium. This year the theme was "Folk Fitness" which means fitness through folk dance. The inaugural programme showcased a Kaleidoscope of colourful folk dance forms representing various countries of the world.
It was followed by drill and sports events. Seven of our ex-students, who have made their mark in different walks of life, graced the occasion with their presence.
A.K.Ghosh Memorial School (Primary Section) drew up a week long programme to mark the 73rd Independence Day.
Children rendered speeches, patriotic songs and recited poems in the assembly. The highlight was on "The achievements of Independent India".
The whole school was decorated with charts , models and exquisite craft work made by the children.
An art competition was held in the K.G. section on 14th August . Classes II to V had a sit and write competition on the same day.
Rakshabandhan was also celebrated with pomp. Children came in colourful ethnic wear and tied rakhi around each other's wrists. Light refreshment was provided by the school.
SAVE WATER SAVE LIFE
Don't make earth devoid of water, water is the essence of life ... so, lets harvest rain water.
With this thought in mind, the little hands of A.K. Ghosh Memorial School took the initiative to create awareness amongst all about the importance of saving water.
